Lift it Up!

Presently our family is suffering with an unbelievable burden. Please help us in lifting up my sister Kandy, our brother-in-law John, and their beautiful baby Jackson in prayer. They are in Illinois and under a lot of stress and suffering with immense emotional pain as they experience their world being turned upside down.

Here are the verses on our heart--the bold are those that really resound in in our heart. Please help us pray to our God who is the only one who can take this burden and set the situation Right. From Romans 8

"I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. 20For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.

22We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? 25But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 27And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.

28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Friends and family, we do not have words to express how we feel, how we ache for God to redeem this situation quickly--how we grieve with my sister's family--and how we trust the Lord to encamp around them and defend them. Please pray! Please pray for the doctors who are involved this time around to have clarity and to be able to see the truth in all of this. Pray for peace to wash over the family, as we all are in agony over this. Pray that John and Kandy would have the strength and wisdom to face the days ahead. Pray for sleep and an appetite for John and Kandy. And pray for protection over little Jackson. This young family needs God's intervention!

Thank you so much for all the prayer sent out on behalf of John and Kandy and little Jackson! As a family we have been carried by knowing that the children of God are praying.
